Rally events in South Australia do not happen unless we have officials, who not only help run the event but also are vital to providing a welcoming atmosphere.
Becoming a motor sport official is a great way of getting close to the action without being in the driver’s seat. Not just that, volunteer officials are a vital part of motor sport and without them the sport could not function. Officials ensure that events are conducted safely, fairly and that the rules and regulations are upheld. Every motor sport event requires a number of officials with various skills to perform a wide range of tasks.
These are just some of the roles that officials fulfill at motor sport events and that you could become involved in:
- Control officials
- Road Closure officials
- Clerks of Course
- Event Secretaries
- Document Checkers
- Course Car Crews
- Spectator Marshalls
As a volunteer official you will be made to feel welcome at the event and will have the opportunity to meet many people with similar interests. Many long-lasting friendships have started at rallies and you will get to see the best rally crews and action up close.
If you would like to become part of our officials’ family, please complete the Officials Application form below and we will put you in touch with events directly.
