Team Mohr SARC 2025 Champions

Michael and Casey Mohr Crowned 2025 MRF Rally Tyres SA Rally Championship Winners
South Australia’s premier rally series has wrapped up for 2025, with Michael and Casey Mohr taking out the MRF Rally Tyres SA Rally Championship title after an impressive and hard-fought season.
The Mohr pairing in their Subaru WRX secured the championship with a total of 126 points, following a fourth place at Round 1, a hard-earned victory at Round 2, and a second outright finish at Round 3. Their determination was on full display during Round 2, where they connected with some of the local scenery and suffered car damage — but showed true grit to carry on and claim the win.
Finishing second overall was the Subaru WRX of Tyson and Kim Brown, who delivered a consistent campaign across the season to amass 102.5 points.
Rounding out the top three were Brian Smith and Douglas Glover on 62 points. The pair enjoyed a smooth and reliable run all year, their solid pace and teamwork paying off with a well-deserved podium finish.
The 2025 season wasn’t short on drama, with early front-runners Toby Price, Declan Dwyer, and Guy Tyler all facing issues that forced them to retire from the closing rounds, opening the door for the Mohrs’ remarkable title campaign.
“Despite smaller entry numbers than usual this year, the championship was vibrant and the quality of competition remained high,” said Rally Panel Chair Daren Herring. “We had two main protagonists heading into the final round separated by just a handful of points, which made for an exciting finish. We’re hopeful of seeing stronger numbers in 2026 as we revamp the series with new simpler regulations and work with event organisers to encourage more compact events, new features to attract competitors to get (re)involved.”
A special mention goes to Molly Spalding and co-driver Matt Dillon, who made history at Round 3 by becoming the first female driver to win a South Australian Rally Championship round outright. Spalding’s achievement was a standout moment in the season and a reflection of her growing presence on the national stage, as she continues to represent South Australia in the Australian Rally Championship (ARC) — battling for class honours and inspiring the next generation of competitors.
The championship once again benefited from the outstanding ongoing support of MRF Rally Tyres Australia, who have sponsored the series for several years. Their commitment extends beyond financial backing — their presence at every event, providing tyre support and expert technical advice in a professional and approachable manner, has been invaluable to competitors throughout the season.
Additional thanks go to our supporting sponsors: ASP Application Service Providers, MSS Safety, Taffs Auto Repairs, and ikklefellas, whose contributions help make the South Australian Rally Championship possible each year.
The biggest thank you also goes out to our volunteer officials. The heart of every rally. Some events saw over 200 officials give their time over several days to manage road closures, timing controls, and safety operations. Their dedication, professionalism, and passion keep the sport running smoothly and safely. On behalf of all competitors and the Motorsport Australia South Australian Rally Panel, we extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation.
Details of the 2025 Championship Awards Dinner, to be held in January 2026, will be announced soon.
